Christmas Chutney with Clementines & Dates

Ingredients

– 12 oz fresh cranberries β€” about 3 cups
– 4 clementines β€” zest + juice (about Β½ cup juice)
– 6 oz pitted Medjool dates β€” chopped into Β½-inch pieces
– 1 medium yellow onion β€” finely diced
– 1 cup light brown sugar β€” packed
– Β½ cup apple cider vinegar
– Spice Blend: 1 tsp ground ginger β€’ ΒΎ tsp cinnamon β€’ Β½ tsp ground cloves β€’ ΒΌ tsp ground allspice β€’ Β½ tsp kosher salt

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan (3-quart works perfectly).

Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered 35–45 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

Chutney is done when it’s thick and glossy β€” spoon will leave a trail when dragged across the bottom. Cool completely.
