Cranberry Napoleons Recipe

Cranberry Napoleons

Cranberry Napoleons is the recipe today. They are an adaptation of the classic Mille-Feuille (“a thousand layers” in French) which has so many variations and ways it can be made. Traditional Napoleons often use vanilla or custard fillings, while cranberry Napoleons have a more a festive, slightly tart twist, and use whipped cream instead. They are a favorite for fall and winter gatherings. 👩🏻‍🍳

Fresh Crans: Instead of store-bought cranberry sauce, make a homemade version with fresh cranberries, and use some orange zest, and a touch of cinnamon. Fresh is always best and makes a difference.

Brush

Brush the puff pastry with a light egg wash before baking to give it a golden color and create an extra crisp texture.

Whipped Cream Infuse

Infuse the whipped cream with maple syrup, orange zest, or almond extract to boost the flavor profile.

Pro Look

Pipe the whipped cream neatly using a pastry bag instead of spreading it with a spoon for a more elegant, uniform, and professional look.

Serve Warm

Lightly warm the Napoleons before serving to enable the flavor come out more.
