They actually are not upside down.
Different Design
Each year at Thanksgiving people tend to observe something odd about the cranberry sauce can that they are ready to use.
They noticed that the can of cranberry sauce they are about to open is upside down!
The rounded edge is at the top, and the sharp, can-like edge is at the bottom. This Looks like something went wrong down at the production line. Maybe a worker or two were hung over and pushed the wrong buttons.
Or maybe someone at the factory had a really big bet going with another employee to see how long it would take for people to write in and let management know that the can was off.
But the reality is that the can was designed that way on purpose. A spokesperson for a famous cranberry company said that the rounded end of the can had an air bubble in it which made it easier to take the cranberry sauce out.
So the can looks like it’s upside down but was actually made by design.
Not very exciting is it? No conspiracy, no crazy secret or mass defect.
Or was he lying?
